Bugging In – Preparing For Riots and Social Mayhem – Do it NOW

By Raymond Mhor

Listen folks, I am not some prophet, fortune teller or anything like that. It is my hope that nothing will happen once the election chaos calms down.

I am also one who does believe in God, so this article will come from a more “biblical” standpoint. If that bothers you, stop reading and move on. If not, then please take in what I am going to say and if you can use it, great, if not, then chew the meat and spit out the bones.

Many of you may or may not know that I am quiet the history buff, and what I am looking at currently how past history and also current actions by the evil socialist / communist left coincide. And if you are a history buff as well, you see the similarities as much as I do.

Like it or not, odds are good that we could see major trouble coming to our towns and cities and soon.

With all that said, what I want to discuss are the following…

1 – Gear Up To Protect The Home & Family

2 – Gear Up Your Home fortifications

Gearing Up To Protect The Home and Family

I do not advocate offensive violence, but I do believe in protecting one’s family, the innocent and in maintaining a defensive posture.

Scripture says…

1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Like it or not, now more than in the last 100 years we are living in a time where we may see war on our own shores. We may see some form of civil war, due to the racial hate, religious hate or between liberal or conservative ideals.

Our nation is ripe for revolution. The ANTIFA riots that are popping up all over the US is proof positive of this.

And I hate to say it, it is only going to get worse if Trump is able to finalize the vote or Biden gets in by stealing the vote; it is going to get very ugly pretty quickly after Jan 2021.

So let’s get to it.

Police Grade Pepper Gel

As bad as this sounds, people need to be prepared to defend.

First thing that I have to help defend my home is a few 16oz cans of pepper spray / gel. SABRE Red Pepper Gel is probably the best when it comes to this sort of application.

See, you do not want the liquid spray because you need this to shoot pretty far. The foam that I normally recommend also has a few issues. This is why I am recommending SABRE Red Pepper Gel.

In using gel it virtually eliminates wind blow-back with no airborne particles – only affects the target/person it directly contacts! SABRE gel provides distance from your threat with a thirty (30) foot range.

Having several of these positioned in strategic spots so that you can get to it quickly is a solid home defense without using deadly force.

Gear Ready To Go – Cross Draw Tactical Vest

I know that this sounds really “John Wayne” / Mall Ninja, but it is better to be prepared with gear ready to go than not.

Condor is a company that puts out some pretty good gear. It isn’t totally military grade, but it is pretty good gear for the price.

First thing that I recommend is getting a Cross Draw Tactical Vest.

This is the vest that I have on hand and it has served me really well.

The many pockets allow for multiple weapons, communications or supplies that I will need.

For example, carrying pepper gel, a stun gun, some protein bars for an energy boost along with other items that you might need. There are several large pockets that can hold your cell phone or walkie talkie.

I also REALLY like the fact that I can put my camel back water bladder in the back and will help me stay hydrated.

Again this is not military grade, but for civilian use and being prepared it is an excellent vest.

The added belt with two mag pouches are good to keep pepper spray, stun gun or even another tactical folding knife like the Cold Steel Voyager Clip Point XL.

MOLLE strips on the back also allow you to clip on dump bag to hold spent magazines as well as a small pack of sorts that might carry a day’s rations and a first aid pack.

Allen Company makes a great pouch that will secure to the back of the vest and it can hold a good amount of necessary items.

This or even two of these pouches on the back of the vest will help you keep needed gear without weighing you down.

Another item that one has to strongly think about is a good pair of gloves. I have written about gloves in the past and so many people do not understand how a good pair of tough gloves can really help save your hands.

Mechanic’s makes some great gloves, but a good pair of motorcycle gloves that are made to take the road rash is something that will stand up.

Freetoo Full Finger Cycling Motorcycle Gloves are some of the best out there. They are comfortable, but also take a beating. This is something that you will need to consider if you are being placed in a tactical situation where you need to get down on the ground and really rough up your hands.

Gearing Yourself Up With Covert Body Armor

If you have served in the military and seen action in the desert, you know that the enemie’s weapon of choice seems to be the IED, AKA the improvised explosive device.

Bombs damage in several ways, first there is the explosion that causes a shock wave. The waves travel outward at about 1,600 feet per second (488 meters per second) over hundreds of yards or more depending upon the amount of explosive.

It is this shock wave that hits the body with massive force. The body, particularly the brain is jolted so hard that the body can not withstand the sudden shock and the person dies due to a massive concussion.

Sometimes the shock wave can push a person back and they are thrown into walls and other structures around where the device explodes.

The explosion fragments the container and sends pieces of shrapnel at high speeds outward. If the IED also contained other fragments such as ball bearings, nuts, bolts and pellets, then they also would be thrown outward.

The heat from the explosion can causes fire. These fires in turn can cause secondary fires in the general area.

Finally, the blast wave leaves a partial vacuum, which causes air to rush back in under high pressure. The in-rushing air also pulls in debris and shrapnel.

So how do we protect ourselves?

We need to start taking precautions. As much as I hate to say this and it is painting with a broad brush but if you have Muslims in your area that seem to sympathize with ISIS, CARE, PLO then there might be a risk.

Something that you may consider is start wearing a covert form of body armor. With today’s technology there is level 2 and level 3 Kevlar motorcycle clothing that will help protect against a lot of the dangers that motorcycle riders have to avoid.

Here is what one rider had to say about the Kevlar pants he was wearing…

“After a 35mph crash into rocks, I can attest to the strength of the Kevlar. The foot peg caught on inner thigh, tore thru the denim and just left a deep bruise on my inner thigh. With after market pegs using replaceable studs I can assure you without Kevlar it may have been a life threatening result.”

In other words, the Kevlar stopped the foot peg from going though the pants and into his leg all while doing 35 MPH. Note that he did not have any rock or debris penetrating the skin either.

Many Police wear the same clothing to help protect them as well against knife attacks, being cut and other dangers that they face on the street.

I am showing this sort of example because if you are in the area of an IED, this sort of clothing might protect you from any shrapnel or flying debris from the explosion.

Is this perfect and is this what this clothing was made for?

NO… not at all, BUT I would be willing to wear cloths like this and if I am in some sort of situation, odds are that the Kevlar panels that are part of this type of clothing “might” stop shrapnel and debris.

I want to state again that this sort of clothing is also cut resistant and many police wear this sort of clothing to stop knife attacks.

I have a pair of Kevlar sleeves that I wear when I am conducting special security tasks. I have personally tested them out to see if they are in fact they cut and puncture resistant and I was impressed, they do what they say they do.

The great thing about Kevlar is that it is also heat / fire resistant. Maybe you have seen waitresses wearing these sort of Kevlar sleeves in dinners. Particularly where they stack 4-5 plates of food on one arm. Those sleeves they are wearing are the same type that many police ear to help guard against knife attacks.

These also will help protect against fragments and debris if you are in the vicinity of an IED.

Here is a list of clothing and such that I have conducted research on…

Gearing Up With Firearms

Luke 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

Psalms 144:1 Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.

When dealing with a home defense / close quarter combat, my “go to” handguns are the Glock 19, and second I recommend the Glock 17… well heck, let’s just go for them all and name the Glock 26 as well.

Yep, all 9mm Glocks.

I am a huge fan of the Glock for many reasons.

First of all, they are pretty much indestructible. There are a number of video on You Tube showing the Glock being dropped from a plane, a barn roof, frozen in ice for a year, buried in the dirt for a year, rolled over by a car, a truck and a semi.

Here is a great video where they fired 40 – 30 round magazines until there was a malfunction. In other words, they worked to literally melt the gun. 1272 rounds later there was a malfunction but after they pulled the gun apart, it was found that there was some polymer still in the gun from the melted polymer guide rod; which they knew would give out and had a metal guide rod ready to replace.

The heat also became so great that the trigger started to melt. But the shooter stated that had he known, he would have used a work around to continue to fire the Glock.

What the shooter performing the test concluded that you would not have been able to carry enough rounds on your person and shoot the Glock so much to cause it to malfunction in this manner.

In other words, the Glock is a great weapon to use even in adverse conditions that this shooter put the Glock through.

You can watch the entire video here – https://youtu.be/ub4OswUhLwo

Another point that I like about the Glock family of 9mm is that you can cannibalize parts from one Glock to another. That is if you are staying within the same generation. Now Gen 1 thru Gen 3 pretty much used the same parts and a lot of them are interchangeable. It is the Gen 4 where Glock started to make changes. But even then there are still parts that are interchangeable.

Probably the main reason I like Glocks is that I have a lot of lead going down range. A Glock 19 magazine holds 15 rounds, a Glock 17 which is the largest in the Glock 9mm family holds 17 in the magazine. You can also interchange the larger magazines in the smaller guns.

Example, you can use the Glock 17 mag in the Glock 26 and Glock 19.

A great modification that a lot of Glock shooters have been adding to their Glocks for the past several years is adding a “Modular Optics System” on the Glock. What this does is allow for quicker acquirement of the target and you don’t have to have one eye closed to aim and shoot.

This set up is great for the Glock 17 and the Glock 19. This has become so popular that now Glock manufacturing is offering a modified upper receiver so that you can put your favorite optic on your Glock.

BUT.. if this is the direction that you are wanting to go, be prepared to get a good red dot optic like the those that Trijicon offers.

Trijicon is military grade optics and it is something that I would spend the money for. I have shot a friend of mine’s Glock 19 that has a Trijicon MOS on his and I have to say that my acquiring of the target was a lot faster and once you get used to it, you shoot with both eyes open.

This is a critical asset to have on your Glock and it could mean shaving milliseconds off your target acquisition. Those milliseconds might also be what you need to save you and your families life.

The Glock 19 & 17 have a lower rail so that you can put a laser site to flashlight or both.

Streamlight’s TLR-1 Rail-Mounted Tactical Light is already equipped to be fitted to any Glock that has a lower rail.

Here is my Glock 19 with a TLR-1 flashlight.

This flashlight has both left and right buttons so that you can easily turn the light on and off. The TLR-1 is police / military grade and will stand up to the abuse. It will also light up any area that you need and the light is bright enough that it can temporarily blind an intruder and give you valuable seconds to take action.

No Gun? Go Sword – Picking The Right Sword For Your Home Defense

There are a lot of factors that you need to consider when picking a proper sword for home defense.

Here is an article for you to read. NOTE – it is VERY GRAPHIC on what a katana can do against four home invaders.

READ AT YOUR OWN RISK – http://knowledgeglue.com/man-uses-katana-stop-home-invasion-gory-aftermath-nsfw/

First think of your physical abilities.

Are you active?

Do you play any sports like tennis, golf, baseball, etc?

Do you have any physical limitations that prevent you from fully or partially swinging a sword?

One handed sword or two handed sword?

For example, over the years of being in the military, working security, practicing martial arts my right shoulder is not what it used to be. I can swing a sword easily one handed, but I personally would feel more comfortable using a two handed sword so that I can get even more power and strength behind the weapon.

This is one the main reasons that I gravitate to more of a samurai sword / two handed type of weapon.

I also like a two handed Katana (samurai sword) because it really does not take much training to use this in a home defense manner. Again, if you can swing bat., racket or golf club, you have the basic moves to use a Katana (samurai sword).

There are many good swords out there that run around $125 that would be very dependable in a home defense situation.

What you DO NOT want to do is get some cheap katana. The reason is that most $50 and below katana that advertised as “Sharp” also do not have a “full tang” or thicker piece of metal in the handle that will help strengthen the sword.

Instead they have what is called a “rat tail” tang.

The problem with these is that they are often welded at the hilt or hand guard. If you need to swing this type of sword, the act of swinging it with full force will often snap that weld and your blade will go flying off. It will also snap on the very first blow at full force if you hit something or someone.

No matter what, when it snaps off, you no longer have a weapon to defend your home.

SO one of the first things you need to look for, is the sword “full tang.”

As you can see in this picture the tang, or the metal that slides up into the handle is pretty thick and wide. This will give your sword strength when you swing it and also come in contact with a target.

The type of steel is also something that you want to watch out for. A lot of cheap swords are made of 1040 steel. This is great for hacking bushes and such, but 1040 will not hold an edge and in fact it is pretty hard to get a really good razor edge on cheap steel like this.

My recommendation is that you look for steel that is at least 1060, which many swords out there are made from

If you can get a 1060 DH or deferentially hardened that is even better. What DH or deferentially hardened means that the blade’s edge is hardened more than the spine of the sword. The DH edge will hold a sharpened edge much better and you can actually get a literal razor’s edge with a 1060 DH sword.

How they achieve this is the sword maker will put liquid clay on the edge of the sword, this will help keep the edge hotter for a millisecond when the sword is quenched in water or oil to cool the sword down. Because the spine of the sword is exposed, that metal will be softer, where the edge that has the clay will remain hotter, thus making the edge’s steel harder. This hardened steel edge will hold the razor sharpness while the softer spine gives the sword some flexibility.

You can often tell a deferentially hardened sword when you see what is often referred to as a “hamon.”

1060 high carbon steel blade with clay the temper process, hamon and hardness created by applying liquid clay during the final forging process.

Note the line in the steel, this is where the clay was painted on the blades edge and when put in the water; “stained” the steel to give the wavy line appearance.

One thing you want to look out for is what is called a “brushed hamon.” This is a sign of a cheaper sword. This is made by using a steel brush on the sword’s edge to give it a “hamon” look as you can see in the image below.

When buying a sword you look to see if the hamon is made with the clay tempering process or is it brushed on like you see above.

If the sword description DOES NOT talk about the clay tempering process, then be leery. Sometimes it is mentioned and sometimes it is not. Looking at pictures of the blade, you can often tell the brushed look verses the clay tempered blade.

A company that I really like and recommend is a company called Musashi. They have a 1060 DH series of swords that for the price, are really great. In fact, I own two of them, both are the “eternity wheel” style.

Musashi’s 1060DH Shirakawa series are basically the same sword but with different hardware, meaning that the hand guard and the pommel cap have different styles.

Mine is called the “eternity wheel.” Other styles are The Bamboo Warrior, Crane or Musashi. There are about 20 sword styles in this series. All are basically the hand forged, hand sharpened 1060 deferentially hardened sword.

A couple of years ago I produced a video Here is a video review of my Musashi 1060 Clay DH hardened katana. I wanted to share my first cuts with this Katana. This is a great starter / first live katana that one can own. This sword is the “Eternity Wheel” sword and is from Musashi Swords “Shirakawa” series. This is the same series that the very popular “Bamboo Warrior” katana also comes from.

For $120.00 with Amazon Prime free shipping you can get the same sword that I have and that I love. I have a number of swords and this is my “go to” sword. This is why I now have two of them because I use my first sword and I want to have a backup just in case finally end up destroying it due to all the cutting and practice that I do.

Musashi – 1060 Carbon Steel – Clay Tempered Samurai Sword *SHARP* – http://tinyurl.com/PZ-Musashi-Clay-Temprd-Katana

Now another sword that I am very impressed with is Dark Sentinel Sword by Paul Chen / CAS Hanwei.

I really like this sword because it is a “hi-Bred” sort of sword that was designed by Paul Chen, a very well-known sword smith and sword designer.

This sword combines the slashing power of the Samurai Katana and characteristics of European dueling swords make it lite and agile enough that you can use this sword with one handed, but can easily go to two handed.

This sword is made with 1566 high carbon steel. This is the same sort of steel that saw blades are made of. So this sword maintains and holds an edge and because of the steel’s strength it is not as thick as a standard Katana.

One of the reasons I got this sword is because this is a sword that Cynthia could also use and use effectively.

It is very easy to swing and hold on to due to the leather wrapped and studded handled. The handle is not large and my wife can easily hold it without it falling out of her hands.

When I purchased this sword a few years ago, Amazon did not carry it , but I am glad to see that Amazon is now carrying this great sword.

Gearing Up Your Home

I am one who believes that one should try to make their home as invasion proof as possible. This is why I am big on early warning and trying to prevent entry.

I have talked about this product before in other article, it is one of the best door jammers you can get on the market.

The Buddy Door Jammer, I own one of these myself and I can attest to the strength that this has. Using this properly will make your door almost impenetrable. The person/s will have to destroy your door to get in.

The next thing that I have talked about in the past is 8 Mil Window Film.

This is a GREAT product and could possibly save your life. I have done studies on this and if you apply it to both sides of the window, it will prevent bricks, large rocks and in some cases even a single shotgun blast using bird shot or small game shot and even a 22 bullet.

Now I would not stand in front of the window to test it, but in some of the case studies I have seen, this stuff is worth the money. People will not come in by breaking your window, that is a guarantee.

I know that what I am saying here is rather disturbing. But I feel that it needs to be said. Our nation is possibly headed to a very bad place in this time in history.

I pray to God that what I am saying does not come to fruition, but the way the current administration is pushing our nation to a civil war / civil disturbance, it is not helping the matter and in fact adding gasoline to the fire that is already burning.

Charles G. Finney stated something very profound that may explain what and why things are happening today.

Here is what he said…

“Worldly desires, appetites, and feelings prevent true Christianity — the human will is, in a sense, enslaved by fleshly and worldly desires. It is therefore necessary for God to awaken people to a sense of guilt and danger and thus produce an opposite excitement or feeling and desire. This counter-feeling breaks the power of worldly desire and leaves the will free to obey God.”

Our nation desperately needs God, but we have been living a slew of lies thinking that we are serving God, when in reality we are serving ourselves.

Bible or not, this is where we are today in US History.

The thing that we who are a wake and have been watching need to do is to prepare so that we can make it through that storm and make it to the other side so that we can be ready to serve and help our fellow man. It will be at that time that man will be ready to hear the good news of the gospel, and we need to make sure that we will be there so that we can share it.

Escape The Danger Zone

By Ray Gano

El Paso Texas – How does one man kill 20 people and wound another 30 people with a single magazine that only holds 30 rounds? The surveillance photo shows no chest rig, no battle belt and no spare magazines.

In fact, the gunman was dressed in black, what group wears black? Well, I think Antifa?

The next day we read about Connor Betts who killed 9 people including his own sister and wounding another 27 more in a bar / restaurant in Dayton Ohio.

What is going on?

Yes we can talk about MK Ultra and these other sinister programs that are real, but what I think many people are forgetting is there is a battle for good and evil taking place right now and so many people are sitting on the sidelines with their heads in the sand.

What we see happening is the forces of darkness rising up against the forces of good.

I mean should we be surprised at this taking place when so much evil is prevalent in the world today.

But not only prevalent, but now fully accepted and turning into the norm.

Just look at this Betts character.

On social media, the suspect’s biography started to emerge. On his Twitter page, he described himself as “he/him / anime fan / metalhead / leftist / i’m going to Hell and i’m not coming back.” …

The page handle? I am the Spookster. On one selfie, he included the hashtags, “#selfie4Satan #HailSatan @SatanTweeting.”

This is what we are facing and this is now a reality.

No longer are we living in a fantasy world of rainbows and unicorns. This is carnage that is taking place now.

It is interesting, I was talking to a friend about the Walmart attack and they brought up a really good question.

If this would happen in our Walmart, what could I do?

Lone Shooter In Your Store

When I heard that question, it was like “Yeah.. what could one do really?

There are people who want to be John Wayne and go fight the guy. That is not a very smart idea unless you hear that he has ran out of ammo. But even then, you could get caught in the crossfire of police vs the attacker and become a casualty of friendly fire.

So, taking on the bad guy, if you are armed yourself and have training, then that is a consideration. What you need to do is reflect on your training and measure success factor. Can you take this person out and stop the carnage? OR are you just being John Wayne looking for some glory.

I find that true hero’s just act. It is something inside them that causes them to stand up and go fight against the odds.

I myself tend to lean in that direction, but I have also looked at counting cost of those who are in my care or are around me.

So how did I answer that friend?

I gave it a few moments of thought.

If there was a shooter in the front of the store, odds are most people would run to the entrances. This is a “Sheeple” move and it would be interesting to see how many people actually did run to towards the shooter just thinking that they just had to get out of the store and the only way out is the entrances.

After a few moments of thought, I responded…

“Run to the back of the store, get into the stock room and look for the fire exit. If anything, you are able to hide among all the boxes and such in the storeroom. There is always a fire exit in these areas, and you would have to stealthily find it so that you could make your escape.”

The key is having this sort of information in your head ahead of time.

Why? Because your brain is a computer, and it will run what programs it has in its memory banks. If it does not have any “run / evade” programs, it will do one of three things…fight, flight or freeze.

Now if you have a weapon to protect yourself, then odds are that you will go in to fight mode, but if you do not, flight or freeze is what the body will do.

When you are in one of these other modes, you are easily persuaded to follow the sheep, which in most cases would run towards the bad guy because that is where the entrances are located.

In times like this your brain does not think, it just acts.

This is why it is important to plan ahead.

Yes it can be a pain or one can appear paranoid to a point, but if you put mental plans in place, your brain will remember them and IF something like this does take place and you are in the middle of it, your brain will fall back on these previous thoughts, pull them out of the memory banks and then act.

We need to realize that we are living in a very different world. A world that is now filled with violence and the enemy is doing all he can to take us out. Believe me, I know… I feel it daily.

Don’t become a victim. Start looking at where you are and start thinking about escape routes to get you and your loved ones out of the danger zone.

Every store that you frequent, put together some sort of contingency plan so that you can get you and your family out of harms way.

When you enter a store, look for the exit signs. You will be amazed at how many you have never noticed before in places you did not realize were available. Not all exits are at the front of the store.

Remember that there are fire codes in place and there must be a certain amount of exits that people have access too during regular business hours. Most of these exits are guarded by a push bar and alarm, know where these are so that if you need to get out of the area quickly, you know where to go and how to basically get there.

By having these sorts of contingency plans in place, you could very well save your family from some sort of natural disaster, man made disaster or some lone shooter. All of these are very real and are showing to become more and more common place.

I hope that this has helped and that it has giving you something to think about in the future.

Don’t wait till the next incident. Start planning now so that you can give yourself and your family the chance that they need.

The Gano Medicine Cabinet

By Ray Gano

I consider myself a naturopath / holistic practitioner. I’ve spent a lot of years building my knowledge of natural remedies – and I’m still learning, but I am so glad I made the effort to acquire a basic understanding of how to apply natural substances to the goal of helping people in my family to feel well again when they are not feeling good.

Now don’t get me wrong, I use all kinds of over the counter products as well like Motrin, Bayer, Alka-Seltzer, Tums, etc. But I like to try to use as many natural products to help heal the body when I am able.

With that said, what I want to do in this article is share with you what we keep around in our medicine cabinet.

The Gano Medicine Cabinet Staples

Activated charcoal – a natural detoxifier and remover of waste, charcoal is a substance that is used to carry out undesirable substances from the digestive tract. Make certain you find a variety that does not use petroleum as a base for the charcoal preparation and is considered “food grade” and comes from a source such as coconut or bamboo. Excellent to use when experiencing abdominal cramping, bloating, gas, upset stomach, or diarrhea. This supplement is normally effective when taken one to three times in a row, depending on the severity of the symptom. Baths – can also be used as poultice, compress or bath treatment for pain, infection, swelling, or detoxification purposes. We use Nature’s Way Activated Charcoal. Safe for children.

Aloe vera – aloe vera juice is great for digestion and immune system function and support and can be taken daily between (at least two hours after) or ahead of meals. Take 1 to 2 ounces daily. It is also great for the skin (both externally and internally used) and is a good base in making homemade cosmetics (think deodorant, tooth cleaners, soaps, shampoos, etc.) A good brand available from the health food store is Nature’s Way Aloe Vera. You can add your aloe vera juice to water (it basically tastes like water), juice, smoothies, or just drink it straight.

Apple cider vinegar – besides a great natural cleaning agent (dilute with water and use anywhere in your home), ACV is great as a daily supplement added to salads, water, or juice. When you are sick or have a cold or flu, it can be taken several times a day to add essential amino acid compounds and good bacteria to support your body and immune system. It is best to drink it with a straw, as repeated use of ACV can wear away the enamel on your teeth. I recommend raw apple cider vinegar that has not been processed nor pasteurized. Bragg’s is an excellent brand and contains the “mother”, a gelatinous substance formed during the final step of fermentation containing valuable minerals, enzymes, and nutrients.

Castor oil – useful for detoxification (for liver and other organs), sore muscles, strains, sprains, or bruising, and PMS. It is a versatile, natural oil used for many different needs. Castor oil packs are widely recommended by practitioners for patients, and especially for complimentary care in cancer treatment. Castor oil packs are also used to shrink tumors and cysts, as applied directly to the affected area. Keep castor oil in the refrigerator when not in use. If it becomes cloudy or discolored, discard.

Use a small piece of fabric (wool or cotton flannel is best); cut a square, tripled or quadrupled over – can be as small as 4 x 4 inches or larger, depending on the area you are treating. Get a small dish (such as a casserole dish) and pour castor oil over the fabric and saturate, taking care not to get oil on other fabrics, upholstery, and clothing.

Get a water bottle and fill with hot water (not over 120 degrees). Apply fabric pack directly to skin and place the water bottle over the pack. You can use an old towel or t-shirt to make sure castor oil does not spread to your furniture or bed. The best time to do castor oil packs is in the evening before bed, and you should leave the pack on for 30 minutes to an hour. Try to remain quiet and in a resting state, without interruption.

Cayenne pepper – a great remedy for sore throats, colds, flus, and respiratory infections. It is rich in minerals and vitamins, and also a good digestive and cardiovascular aid. Great for digestive woes like bloating, gas, constipation, stomach cramping, allergies, poor circulation, chronic pain, headaches, and toothaches. It actually works to expand blood vessels to aid in carrying nutrients contained in pepper and other foods to the cells in your body. Cayenne can help stabilize blood sugar and cholesterol levels. It is also a powerful, natural detoxificant agent for the whole body. Dr. John R. Christopher’s (well-known herbalist) School of Natural Healing (book) and web site discusses many effective herbal remedies, including cayenne pepper.

To use cayenne pepper internally, add 1/4 to a 1/2 teaspoon to a cup of about 6 ounces or more of warm water. The mixture will be spicy, so use caution. Sip or drink as able until gone. For added detoxification benefit and taste, you can add some Grade B maple syrup and lemon juice. It can also be used topically to wounds or cuts. You can apply the pepper directly to the wound or use 1/4 cayenne in a home-made solution with salt water. Use a small amount of water and salt to make a paste and apply. If necessary, cover with bandages or gauze.

Coconut oil – a natural antifungal and antiviral oil that can kill yeast (it’s great for those experiencing candida), use on skin for body moisturizing, abrasions, sunburn, chapping or chaffing, cuts, bruises, scrapes, conditioner for hair, diaper rash, use in cooking as a healthy, medium chain triglyceride fat, and is also a great digestive aid and because of its caprylic acid content, can be used to help control candida issues – for use alone or with any meal.

Colloidal silver – this substance has many uses and can be taken internally as well as applied topically. We use silver mostly for cuts and wounds. It heals very fast. Just apply a small amount and cover with a bandage or gauze strip. Some people use it successfully as a nasal spray or in a neti pot preparation for sinus and respiratory issues and allergies. I have found it works best on cuts and wounds. We use Now Foods SilverSol.

Cranberry juice (unsweetened, concentrated) – this is a great juice to take every day for lymphatic health and detoxification. I use about 8 ounces to 64 ounces of filtered water and drink daily. If desired, you can add fresh squeezed lemon or orange juice to the mixture, and Stevia or raw honey if the natural tartness is too much. It’s great for kidney health and contains many trace minerals and vitamins. I enjoy mine straight.

Dental/tooth/gum -Tooth and Gums Tonic – an all-natural, highly concentrated preparation made from ecologically-produced and sustainably harvested wild herbs echinacea and gotu kola, and oils of peppermint, red thyme, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus and lavender. This is one of the only substances I have ever found that works on canker sores (even over lysine), and is great for a mouthwash or substitute for brushing your teeth if you find yourself without a toothbrush. As it is highly concentrated, only small amounts are needed for use at a time, and depending on how much you use it, a bottle could last for months. Tastes amazing!

I have discovered another amazing natural dental rinse – kombucha! One way to relieve sore gums is by massaging the area several times daily and rinsing with a bit of kombucha. Hold it in your mouth for as long as you can (I try to do it for about 3 minutes or longer), it really helps the pain and tenderness subside.

Cod liver oil – load up on cod liver oil for dental and skeletal health and issues. I normally take 2 capsules in the morning and 2 at night with meals. Cod liver oil is so good for many health remedies, and I would think increasing your dosage to as many as 2 three or more times daily would be beneficial.

Carrier oils – pressed from the fatty portion of a plant or food (such as nuts, kernels, and seeds) and are used with essential oils (see below). These oils do not impart their scent as strongly as essential oils. Used to carry and dilute stronger oils which alone can cause irritation or burning. Here are some examples of carrier oils: sweet almond, avocado, borage, apricot kernel, jojoba, hemp seed, sunflower, sesame, pecan, macadamia, olive, or coconut oil.

Carrier oils go rancid fairly quickly (except for coconut oil) and should be used up or replaced often. You can use approximately a 5 to 1 ratio of carrier to essential oil mixture for topical use on the skin, or follow the directions on the package. Therapeutic grade oils are the best quality to use.

Echinacea – This is a great herb to have in the home. It boosts the Immune system, reduces upper respiratory issues, reduces infections, and can be taken orally or applied topically to combat pain.  Coming down with the flu? Take your echinacea in combination with Sambucol and activated charcoal. The one that we use is Now Foods Echinacea

Essential oils – are distilled from the bark, roots, and other aromatic components of botanicals, herbs, and plants. I use Now Foods & Young Living therapeutic grade oils.

Here are some of the mixtures I use:

Digestion: ginger, peppermint, tarragon, fennel, anise, caraway, and coriander. When someone has an upset stomach, use a carrier oil and a few drops of these oils to massage gently into abdominal area and on the bottoms of the feet. You can also add a few drops to hot water and sip.

Respiratory/Allergies: eucalyptus, lavender, lemon, melaleuca, laurel leaf, and tea tree oil. Use a few drops in hot steam as aromatherapy (breathing preparation) or in a neti pot or saline spray wash with a home-made saline solution and/or add some of the contents of a probiotics capsule as well.

Headache/stress/tension: lavender, lemon, peppermint, or melaleuca are all good oils to use – combined or alone. Use 2 – 3 drops essential oil to 3-4 drops carrier on a cotton ball and apply to affected area. We use essential oils on our foreheads and temples for headaches, which works quite well. Also make certain you a hydrated with filtered water that has minerals or add some unsweetened cranberry juice to your water. Minerals are essential in staying hydrated.

Immune Boosting/Prevention of flus/colds, and other illnesses: wild orange, clove bud, rosemary, eucalyptus, and cinnamon. Dilute and use as a gargle for prevention or when you feel a cold, flu, or sore throat coming on. Dilute in spray bottles with purified water to clean doorknobs, floors, countertops, and other public-use surfaces. Use a few drops in an empty gelatin capsule for immune support.

Respiratory/sinus: Oil of oregano, one of the most powerful, natural antibiotics can be used for various issues like stomach upset, diarrhea, colds, flus, and respiratory or sinus infections. You can buy good quality wild, Mediterranean oregano from most health food stores. The preparation is often contained in a carrier mix such as olive oil. You can also mix your own saline at home with sea salt and filtered water and mix oil of oregano along with clove bud oil, bay leaf, and sage for use in a neti pot or a nasal spray in a bottle.

Another great way to clear congestion and mucous out of your sinus and nasal passages is to put a few drops of eucalyptus and tea tree oil on a cotton ball. Put the cotton ball in a clean, empty bottle such as an old vitamin or mineral supplement container. Plug one nostril at a time and breathe deeply from the bottle multiple times. Tea tree oil is a natural antifungal, antiseptic, and disinfectant and its fumes are powerful enough to ward off an infection in your respiratory tract if started quickly enough.

Taken orally, I just add the Oil of Oreganol P73 by North American Herb & Spice to filtered water (read bottle directions, usually no more than 3 -5 drops) and drink it down. It has a strong, spicy flavor. Use a slice of lemon to remove the taste in your mouth, if desired, afterward.

Fermented cod liver oil – this is a food as well as a great remedy for colds, flus, and other illness. Although we take FCLO everyday, if someone in my family is sick, we load up on this important food which is packed with nutrients like Vitamins A and D. We use Green Pastures Blue Ice Royal.

Garlic – a great, natural antifungal, immune booster, and detoxifier. Eat raw (if you can stand it). Or, crush a few cloves of garlic and add to 4 cups water, bring to a boil and then sip. Garlic is good for infections – bacterial and viral. Also good for sinus infections and is good for digestion. Garlic oil is great mixed with other essential oils like eucalyptus, tea tree, and echinacea and a carrier oil (see above) for ear infections and stopped up ear canals.

Goldenseal root – this herb is a bitter tasting potent and used for aiding digestion, curing infections and inflammation, and can be purchased in powder form from the health food store. If you take to much Goldenseal, it can also hurt digestion. To much and it will affect the gut flora and kill it off. Although I have never used it for this purpose, it is apparently useful for canker sores and as an earwash as well, when added to warm water as a gargle or washing agent. It can also be applied topically to cuts, bruises, and infected areas of the skin.  Because it is expensive and concentrated, you only need small amounts at a time when purchasing from the store, and it is wise to remember that a little goes a long way.

Olive oil – use on your skin and body for moisturizing, eat on salads and light cooking (low temperature heat), and for oil pulling. Oil pulling is a useful way to detoxify your body and remove dangerous substances. Use 2 tablespoons of oil, first thing in the morning before eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth. Swish the oil in your mouth for 10 minutes and then spit out into a garbage can. Oil pulling should be done multiple times for maximum effect. Improves mouth or gum disease, chronic infections and many other health issues.

Probiotics – if you are a person who regularly eats fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, lacto-fermented vegetables, etc. you are probably getting a good supply of friendly bacteria from real food in your diet, which is essential to health. Sometimes though, we all need a boost. I keep therapeutic-grade probiotics in our house at all times, which we take daily, but also for when anyone is not feeling well – whether it’s a common cold, sore throat, flu, upset stomach, diarrhea, or anything else. Make sure you store them in the refrigerator, heat does effect probiotics. Here are the brands we use: BioKult, Biotics Research, Prescript-Assist, Advanced Naturals. It is a good idea to switch brands every few months to ensure diversity of bacteria in the gut.

Good quality probiotics are essential to your health; it’s not a good idea to skimp on quality because the majority of products on the market do not actually contain the strains nor the numbers of bacteria shown on the label, contain genetically-modified material, and some products are made from toxic sources such as (gasp!), human bowel waste.

Raw honey – Honey is a natural as a dietary supplement and as a topical application for infections, flus, and colds and supports digestion and immune function. Dissolve 1 tablespoon of raw honey in warm water with 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon or take straight several times daily for coughs, colds, and related ailments. You can also take raw honey and cinnamon with lemon in water as well for health.

Believe it or not, raw honey can also be used on the skin and will help heal because it is a natural antibiotic.

Sambucol – This is elderberry syrup and is a proven cure for the flu. In fact, if you take it at the first signs of symptoms, you will likely kick the flu bug and recover in just a day or so. Elderberry naturally boost your immune system and floods it with antibodies. So if you get some virus, drink up the Sambucol.

This is what we use – https://amzn.to/2Oe6s54

Sesame oil – is useful for massaging into the skin and for oil pulling (see olive oil above) to remove impurities and toxins from the body.

Why I Am Prepared and Why YOU Should Too

By Ray Gano

1 Timothy 5:8 (KJV) But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

I am a student of Bible Prophecy. I say that because I know how the end of the story plays out and also who wins. With that said, I do not believe in a utopian world promoted by many out there. Man left to his own devices will always seek the greediest, most hedonistic, selfish path possible.

That is why we who have accepted Christ as our personal savior pick up our cross and follow Him daily.

Knowing that we are in fact living in the last days of the last days, I believe that today’s Western world is more vulnerable to both natural and man-made catastrophes than at any time in our past.

The science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke once said:

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

This statement is commonly known as Clarke’s Third Law.

We now live in a world that is so completely immersed in advanced technology that we depend upon it for our very survival. Most of the actions that we depend upon for our everyday activities — from flipping a switch to make the lights come on to obtaining all of our food supplies at a nearby supermarket.

If one would have viewed modern technology a mere 200 years ago, it would be considered as magic and one may have even been burned at the stake.

I often get asked ”why are you always talking about being prepared?”

Our civilization has become very vulnerable. We forget where our food originates from and many believe that it comes from the “magic place” called Wal-Mart. In fact, if Wal-Mart did not exist, there are times that I wonder if modern man would have been able to survive.

Because I am a student of Bible Prophecy, I know that this world is not going to get better, but in fact things will get worse.

But if I were to set aside what I know from God’s Word and what it speaks of in these last days, there are still several big picture factors to consider that work or and possibly even working together in a dangerous way, especially here in the US.

Economics: The U.S. national debt is a long-term threat to the nation’s economy and current levels of government spending are unsustainable. Across the ocean and we see most of Europe is no better. In fact due to recent developments many nations in the European Union are in far worse shape. Greece, Portugal, Italy instantly come to mind. Still, governments spend like there is no tomorrow and that the coffers of cash are unending. They forget the future generations who will be strapped with this buren and will not be able to repay these debts.

Not to mention aging infrastructure, declining educational system, and our absolute dependence on foreign oil. Which thanks to the lack of serious response by our current administration, it will probably become much worse. It would not surprise me to find out that much of this lack of response is planned so that the government can seize the oil companies much like they did the banks and auto industries.

The outcome – no money

Resources: The U.S. cannot be energy independent given current oil and gas reserves. We need to invest in our own energy solutions and start producing once again. But will we? The powers that be say that we will not.

China and India’s populations are growing and so are their energy needs. Alternate energy sources cannot fill the void, at least not right now. It will still take several decades to “ramp up” these infrastructures. Unfortunately, modern civilization is based on access to cheap fossil fuels, and world governments seem to be oblivious to the need to prepare (e.g., start building hundred of wind turbines, nuclear reactors, solar array farms, etc, now) for the future.

The outcome – dwindling energy solutions at a very high cost playing catch up.

Demographics: The “baby boomer” generation is rapidly aging, and coming into retirement. This means there will be less workers, paying less taxes. Our retirees “nest egg” has been robbed multiple times by wall street, inflation, and constant rising taxes. Because of this the “baby boomers” are forced to dip into resources, that were set aside to help support their golden years. But more and more of these people’s resources are gone. This issue also compounds the economic problems above.

Tack on illegal immigration which often in cases do not contribute to the tax system and we see an even stronger strain on the welfare system of today.

International Threats: U.S. status as a super power is being challenged by China, the Middle East, and quite possibly even Russia. Those nations and others, however, will also face demographic and resource issues that will make them competitors for trade and scarce recourse, increasing the potential for conflict with our own country. Muslim Terrorist factions actors such as Al Qaeda and the like will continue to be a challenge as Islam grows worldwide with the push for a global caliphate ensues. And just recently NASA has released a report that all countries remain vulnerable to the threat of electromagnetic pulse (EMP) due to out of the ordinary projected solar storms. Toss in the fact that EMP can also be caused by terrorist / manmade events and one can see the vulnerability.

Wild Cards: This includes natural disasters, plagues and pandemics, earthquakes, asteroids, etc. – all those things completely beyond the control of humans that could wreak havoc upon civilization by destroying key infrastructure, cities and populations.

Society has faced many of these issues in the past, the difference being that contemporary Western civilization has become dependent upon the “magic” of technology to a degree unsurpassed in history. This is our own “Achilles heel” or weakness. While there is a level of redundancy that provides some robustness, there is point when failures in one systems that will cause a cascading effect that will result in failures of other related systems.

We have lost many of the vital non-technical skills our grandparents generation had. How to raise chickens, milk goats, make cheese, even mend our own clothes. Our society has become more dependent on the “magic” of technology. And if this technology is taken down. The possible effect of large scale catastrophes is magnified by the probability of cascade failures in those technologies.

Our industrial complex is basically gone, knowledge of lost skills is basically gone, our financial resources are basically gone .

Our hope lies within what we as Americans can do for our own family. But we as husbands, fathers and leaders of our family must never forget, that our true hope lies in the saving Grace of our heavenly Father who will see us through the good times and in the bad.

God has given us strong hands to work with and brains to think with. He is not some welfare agent in the sky. He is not going to rain pennies from heaven nor allow $20.00 bill trees to grow in our back yard.

What He will do is bless our efforts if we work now to plan ahead. He is not going to raise up a vegetable garden over night. But if we get out and till the land, plant the seeds and nurture our efforts, He will bless that effort with a bountiful harvest.

God’s Word tells us to “occupy till He returns.” We need to be doing that. Why you may ask?

1 Peter 3:15 (KJV) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

It is for the sake of the Gospel that we must be ready always in good times and in bad. If we are not ready for the hard times ahead, how can we have the freedom to share the blessed hope of our Lord and Savior? There will be many who will be on their hands and knees just searching for that next scrap of food. Will people like them have the time to share the gospel? No they will not nor will they be in any position to do so.

That is why it is vitally important that we are busy at the task at hand and “be ready always” to share the gospel in good times and in bad.

We do this not only for the sake of our own families, but for those who we will be able to help.

Think about it. If you know that your neighbor down the road is hurting and in need and you are able to provide some beans, rice, maybe a dozen eggs, don’t you think that they would be more open to hearing God’s plan of Salvation? Don’t you think that because you are different and had the foresight to look ahead that you might have a higher degree of credibility than one who has fallen on hard times?

Knowing all of this; looking out upon the horizon, this is why I prepare.

I see a great need for bible believing Christians to be ready to share the Gospel. They are not going to hear about God’s true love for them from the sugar coated charlatans who claim the title “pastor.” What these people are in reality is mere hirelings who are fleecing the flocks.

So we need to be ready to fulfill the task at hand.

Mark 16:15 (KJV) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

The time to prepare is now, while we still have the time and resources at hand.

When Christ returns, it is my desire to have Him find me hard at work for the sake of the kingdom.

I don’t know about you, but I want to hear those words…” Enter my kingdom my good and faithful servant.”

What will you be doing when Christ returns?

What words will He speak to you?

Fill In The Holes For Just One Year

We have a $600+ shortfall every month. I HATE coming to the readers every month asking to help.

We are working like mad to fill these holes, but it is slow going. Tracye and I are developing a “tent building” business, but we need help with some breathing room.

All we are asking is for one year….

Will You Stand With Us For Just One Year?

We need 6 people willing to stand with us at $100 a month.

12 people willing to stand with us at $50 a month.

24 people willing to stand with us at $25 a month.

Folks, just one year.

We have been reviewing our business plan to reinvigorate PZ, Servant Warrior and introduce our life coach business. We have been getting great mentoring support from several individuals and all of us are very confident in our business plans that we have been working on.

We know that we will do well, we just need one year of breathing room to accomplish this.

You love what we are doing. We get emails from many of you every week.

Stand in the gap with us for one year…
